Concurrently, Polish forces have been placed on heightened readiness amidst escalating tensions in the region. The ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine has escalated with a series of deadly aerial assaults, including Sunday's early morning strikes. These attacks occurred in the aftermath of the Russian military's claimed seizure of the Ukrainian village of Ivanivske, situated west of Bakhmut.
