Israel-Hamas: Netanyahu says Hamas has lost control of Northern Gaza amid ceasefire calls | Oneindia
As Israel’s war against Hamas continues, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the terrorist outfit has lost control of the northern Gaza Strip and the forces will continue attacking the terrorists “at full force until victory”.
The Prime Minister said that the IDF forces have completed the encirclement of the city of Gaza and Hamas has no place to hide in the northern Gaza Strip.
The UN’s top human rights official, Volker Türk, has strongly condemned U.S. sanctions on four ICC judges as “deeply corrosive” to international justice. These judges, who ruled on cases involving alleged war crimes by U.S. forces in Afghanistan and arrest warrants against Israeli leaders, now face sanctions from the Biden administration. Türk warned that targeting international judges for executing their duties endangers the rule of law. The EU has backed the ICC, vowing to counter these sanctions and defend the court’s independence from political pressure.

Greta Thunberg and 11 other activists aboard the Madleen, a ship carrying aid to Gaza, have reached Egypt’s coast. Part of the Freedom Flotilla Coalition, the vessel departed from Sicily to challenge Israel’s blockade on Gaza. The crew, including German activist Yasemin Acar, say they are safe but prepared for confrontation. The Israeli Navy is expected to intercept the UK-flagged ship if it enters Israeli waters, a move rights groups say would violate international law. Britain has so far refused Israeli requests to block the ship’s entry into contested waters.
