Bilkis Bano, the survivor of a harrowing crime during the 2002 Gujarat riots, expressed a moment of relief as she smiled for the first time in over a year and a half.
This came in the wake of the Supreme Court's decision that the convicts, previously released for "good behaviour" last year, must return to jail.
Alongside Bilkis Bano, her lawyer Shobha Gupta, a steadfast advocate for justice in Bano's case, also experienced a sense of relief and peace following the recent ruling by the Supreme Court.
