Mass protests erupted in Damascus as Syrian citizens gathered outside parliament, chanting “Stop killing our people” in a show of defiance against Israeli airstrikes and escalating sectarian violence.
The demonstration follows deadly Israeli strikes on the Syrian Army General Staff headquarters in Damascus, which Israel claims were a response to the government's failure to protect the Druze minority in Sweida.
