According to the recall notice, faulty airbags should be repaired before owners drive their vehicles again.

If the airbags are deployed, metal fragments could shoot out and cause injury or death.

This is due to the age of the airbags, CBS News reports.

This recall follows another that was made about a month ago in which the proper deployment of passenger airbags in 1 million vehicles was questionable.
