Farmers’ ‘Dilli Chalo’ Protest: Farmers move towards Shambhu Border in tractors | Oneindia News
Farmers begin their 'Delhi Chalo' march from Shambhu Border.
Farmers with their tractors move towards the Shambhu border near Ambala from Fatehgarh Sahib in Punjab, as farmer unions have given 'Chalo Delhi' protest call over their various demands.
With a decision on resuming their march to Delhi expected to be made by farmers on Thursday, the cancellation of passports and visas of those involved in violence during the agitation is being sought by the Haryana Police. Protesting farmers from Punjab have been camping at the Khanauri and Shambhu points on the Punjab-Haryana border since February 13 after their march to the national capital was halted by security personnel. A decision on the march is anticipated to be taken by them on February 29. The farmers are demanding the acceptance of their demands by the central government, including a legal guarantee for a minimum support price (MSP) for crops and a farm loan waiver.
