Tories claim chancellor will be ‘fuming’ at GDP figures
Former Conservative cabinet minister Laura Trott welcomes the latest economic figures that show GDP was at 0.6% from April to June but claims Rachel Reeves will be “fuming”.
The shadow chief secretary to the treasury insists “this is yet more data to undermine (the chancellor’s) narrative that her economic inheritance is bad”.
