French President Emmanuel Macron says he will visit Mayotte in the coming days in the aftermath of Cyclone Chido that has ripped through the French Indian Ocean territory, causing major damage in its path, with hundreds feared dead.
Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has launched a scathing attack on Western-led security guarantees for Ukraine, calling them “worthless without Moscow’s input.” Speaking after a Paris summit hosted by Emmanuel Macron, where 26 nations pledged military backing for Kyiv, Medvedev dismissed the pledges as “complete nonsense” and accused the coalition of ignoring Russia’s role.
