A catastrophic plane crash unfolded near Aktau, Kazakhstan, involving an Azerbaijan Airlines Embraer 190 aircraft.
The jet, carrying over 100 passengers and crew, was en route from Baku to Grozny when it made an emergency landing request after reportedly colliding with a flock of birds.
Tragically, the plane crashed roughly three kilometers from Aktau, bursting into flames upon impact.
The Embraer 190, a versatile single-aisle jet designed for short and long-haul routes, can seat up to 114 passengers and is known for its efficient performance and spacious cabin.
With a maximum cruise speed of Mach 0.82 and a range of 2,450 nautical miles, it is widely regarded as a reliable workhorse in regional aviation.
