A devastating plane crash near Aktau, Kazakhstan, has claimed the lives of at least 42 people, while 25 survivors were miraculously rescued from the wreckage.
The Azerbaijan Airlines Embraer 190, en route from Baku to Grozny, collided with a flock of birds, forcing the plane to make an emergency landing.
Tragically, the plane crashed just three kilometers from Aktau airport.
Among the survivors, 22 have been hospitalized, and emergency responders continue to work at the crash site.
