A protective shield over the destroyed fourth reactor of the Chernobyl nuclear plant has been struck overnight by a Russian attack drone carrying a high-explosive warhead, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
Russia has issued a dire warning to Israel following reported strikes on Iranâs Bushehr nuclear plant, calling the attack potentially catastrophicâcomparable to Chernobyl. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova condemned any further strikes on Iranâs "peaceful" nuclear sites, citing the risk to Russian scientists stationed at Bushehr. Moscow has also warned the U.S. against military involvement, threatening âunpredictable consequences.â While Israel has neither confirmed nor denied the strike, the incident has sparked global alarm and intensified the nuclear crisis in the region.
