Conservatives: Poor language in leaked White House messages
The shadow chief secretary to the Treasury says some of the language in leaked White House Signal messages is "very poor" and "more hostile than you would anticipate from a face-to-face conversation".
His comments come after messages in a White House Signal group chat about European "free-loading" and plans for a military strike against Houthi rebels in Yemen were inadvertently leaked.
But Richard Fuller adds the comments on Europe were not designed for a British audience and should not have any impact on the relationship between the UK and the US.

Yemenâs Armed Forces have delivered a bold message to Israel and the world by penetrating Tel Avivâs missile shield with explosive-laden drones that struck three high-value targets â including a sensitive Israeli site in Jaffa, military infrastructure in Ashkelon, and a strategic zone in the Negev Desert.
Brigadier General Yahya Saree confirmed the success of the operations and warned of continued strikes until the siege and genocide in Gaza end. The strikes form part of Yemenâs relentless campaign of solidarity with Palestine, which has also involved firing advanced ballistic and hypersonic missiles. Meanwhile, Yemen has issued a clarion call to Muslims and Arabs worldwide to rise, protest, and break the Gaza blockade. The message is clear â Gazaâs resistance is not alone, and regional escalation is mounting fast. Is a broader conflict in the Middle East now inevitable?
