When is The Diddy Trial?

Yo, what's up, fam?

Welcome back to The Blac Pill Podcast, where we keep it real and dive deep into the stories that matter to the culture.

Today, we're discussing the highly anticipated trial of Sean "Diddy" Combs, which is set to begin tomorrow, May 5, 2025.

Diddy, once a towering figure in the music and entertainment industry, built a multimillion-dollar empire over three decades through ventures in music, fashion, television, and business.

However, his career has been marred by legal troubles, including violent incidents and arrests.

His downfall began in late 2023 when singer Cassie accused him of prolonged abuse, leading to a flood of similar allegations from other women and men.

A CNN-released video in 2024 showed him physically assaulting Cassie in 2016.

In September 2024, Combs was arrested and indicted on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering, accused of using his business empire and associates to exploit victims. He has denied all allegations and pleaded not guilty.

The trial will commence with jury selection at the Daniel Patrick Moynihan Courthouse in New York.

The case is expected to last approximately a month: three weeks for the prosecution and one week for the defense.

Prosecutors allege that Combs orchestrated elaborate sex events known as "freak-offs" involving coerced participation of women with male sex workers, extensive drug use, and surreptitious video recordings.

These acts were allegedly facilitated using the resources of Combs' entertainment empire and involved associates engaged in crimes including bribery, kidnapping, and obstruction of justice.

Combs' former partner, singer Cassie Ventura—believed to be "Victim-1" in the indictment—is expected to testify publicly.

Additional lawsuits by dozens of others have followed Ventura's initial legal action against Combs, further escalating the case.

Combs has rejected a plea deal from prosecutors, opting instead to face a federal trial.

If convicted, he faces life in prison.
