'Godzilla x Kong' Sequel Gets Official Title and First Teaser as it Starts Production | THR News Video

The latest 'Godzilla x Kong' feature just got a new title.

Warner Bros.

And Legendary announced Friday that 'Godzilla x Kong: Supernova' is the new title for the forthcoming movie that is set for theatrical release March 26, 2027.

A short teaser video was also released to mark the start of production on what will be the sixth film in the series.

Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema revealed that Andy Serkis' 'The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum' will open in cinemas on December 17th, 2027. Andy Serkis will both direct the movie and star in it. Peter Jackson, Fran Walsh and Philippa Boyens — the Oscar-winning team behind the blockbuster 'The Lord of the Rings' and 'The Hobbit' trilogies — are producing the film. Walsh and Boyens are also among the film's writers.
