The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has released graphic and unfiltered footage of the dramatic hijack of the Jaffar Express, dubbed Operation Darra-e-Bolan, carried out on March 11.
Armed with rocket launchers and IEDs, BLA insurgents sabotaged train tracks and ambushed the train inside a tunnel, capturing over 300 Pakistan military personnel.
While women and children were released, the BLA used the platform to issue a rallying cry for resistance, denouncing Pakistan’s alleged extrajudicial killings and accusing the UN of ignoring what they call a Baloch genocide.
Pakistan's military claims to have rescued 354 hostages and killed 33 militants, while the BLA asserts higher enemy casualties and continued resistance.
In a dramatic turn during Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir’s high-profile U.S. visit, the United States officially designated the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) as a Foreign Terrorist Organization. The timing of the announcement is being hailed as a major diplomatic win for Islamabad and signals a deepening shift in U.S.-Pakistan ties under Trump’s renewed engagement.
