Actor George Wendt dies at 76.

Throughout his career, George Wendt appeared on some of television's most iconic shows, including Taxi and M*A*S*H , before stepping into the role of Norm Peterson on the hit NBC sitcom Cheers .

He starred in the role for the entirety of its 11 season run, appearing in every one of its 275 episodes.

He went on to earn 6 consecutive Emmy nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actor In A Comedy Series for his performance, and even made guest appearances on Cheers spinoffs The Tortellis and Frasier .

He also appeared in various films, including 1984's Dreamscape , 1985's House , and 1997's Spice World .

He passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday morning according to a rep for the family, writing 'George was a doting family man, a well-loved friend and confidant to all of those lucky enough to have known him.'

He is survived by wife Bernadette Birkett, their three children, and nephew Jason Sudeikis.

Chris Brown released from jail on $6.7M bail following arrest in England.

The 36-year-old singer was arrested at the Lowry Hotel in Salford, England last Thursday on charges of assault.

The alleged attack took place in 2023 when Brown is reported to have smashed a tequila bottle over music producer Abe Diaw's head at a London nightclub.

While initially denied bail at a hearing on Friday, May 16, Brown has since been released on a 6.7 million dollar payment following a judge's ruling earlier today.

The news comes just weeks before the singer is set to kick off his 'Breezy Bowl XX' world tour on June 8.

Brown, while not present at today's hearing, is due back in court on June 20.
