Anna Wintour steps down as Vogue editor-in-chief after 37 years.

The fashion authority shook up the industry with the announcement that she's stepping away from the magazine's daily management.

The 75-year-old who has held the title of editor-in-chief since 1988, announced the news in a staff meeting yesterday morning.

Vogue will seek a new head of editorial content (who will report to Wintour), while Wintour will not totally step away, staying on as Condé Nast's global chief content officer and global editorial director at Vogue , overseeing every brand globally, including Vanity Fair , GQ , AD and more.
