Exclusive: Palestinian Foreign Minister "shocked" at EU's failure to act against Israel over Gaza
Palestinian minister for foreign affairs says the EU should sanction Israel over its violations in Gaza and the West Bank, in accordance with the EU’s own rules and values. She said despite a deal struck by the EU to increase aid into Gaza, civilians were still being killed trying to access food.

In a dramatic escalation, Israeli warplanes launched a wave of airstrikes on southern Syria, targeting tanks, convoys, and rocket launchers in the governorates of Suwayda and Daraa. The strikes followed deadly sectarian clashes in Suwayda that killed over 30 people and injured nearly 100, prompting Syria to declare a ceasefire and withdraw heavy military equipment.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered the military action to disrupt the movement of Syrian and Iranian-backed militias advancing near Israel’s northern border. The Israeli Defense Forces say the attacks were aimed at halting the convoys before they reached strategic positions.
