Chip and Joanna Gaines, whose public embrace of their Christian faith has made them especially popular among American Evangelicals, are being called out for "Hollywood hypocrisy." The "Fixer Upper" stars serve as producers for a new HBO Max show, "Back To The Frontier," in which three families attempt to live as 19th-century homesteaders.

The problem arises from the fact that one of the couples, Jason and Joe Hanna-Riggs, are gay men with adopted children—a clear attempt by HBO Max to "normalize" the non-Christian, non-traditional family dynamic.
