A rare baby okapi has been born at Chester Zoo. The “precious” calf was born to mum Ada and dad Stomp, following a 14-month pregnancy. Sir Ed Davey has called for the temporary nationalisation of Thames Water as he reacted to the latest figures in the ongoing sewage crisis. Tributes are being paid in Minehead to a child who was killed in a coach crash which left several others seriously injured.
Flowers have been left at the entrance to Minehead Middle School following the crash, which happened while the coach was carrying children back from a day trip to Exmoor Zoo.

The number of serious water pollution incidents increased by 60 per cent last year, a watchdog has found. Water Minister Emma Hardy said it's "a complete disgrace" and that it's "clear regulation isn't working".
