The official cause of death for Kelly Clarkson's ex-husband Brandon Blackstock has been revealed. In initial reports regarding his death, it was revealed that Blackstock, who was married to the singer and daytime talk show host, died of cancer. The coroner's office announced that Blackstock died of melanoma, a form of skin cancer that had been present for three years. The professional talent manager died Aug. 7 at age 48.
