Killer jailed for 45 years over prison officer’s murder

Armed robber Elias Morgan has been jailed for life with a minimum term of 45 years for murdering prison officer Lenny Scott in Skelmersdale.

Det Ch Insp Lee Wilson called Scott “a big strong kind man… who paid the ultimate price” and described Morgan as “a small cowardly evil individual” who killed him in revenge for seizing a phone from his prison cell.
