Income Tax notice coming your way? CBDT says some taxpayers will get notices soon for not filing their ITRs
Monday, 5 February 2024 Income Tax Notice: The income tax department will be sending notices to individuals who have not filed tax returns despite having tax deducted at source. The department is utilizing the extensive data it receives to identify inconsistencies and is urging taxpayers to update their returns if any details have been overlooked. With 5.1 million updated returns, the department has collected Rs 4,600 crore thus far.
