Govt looks for new Sebi chief, Puri Buch's term ends in February

The finance ministry has initiated the search for a new Sebi chairman as Madhabi Puri Buch's term ends in February. Eligible candidates must be above 50 years old with 25 years of experience in relevant fields. Puri Buch is eligible for reappointment despite being involved in a controversy involving the Adani Group.
