Sub-postmasters and a top executive don't believe key Post Office boss's account
Wednesday, 22 May 2024 The account of the Post Office's former chief executive about what she knew during key years of the firm's scandal is not believed by the former CEO of Royal Mail, the inquiry into the injustice has heard.
Former Post Office boss Paula Vennells has arrived at the Post Office inquiry for a final day of questioning. Ms Vennells has faced questioning over the last two days, where she admitted to making a false statement to MPs.

Former Post Office boss Angela van den Bogerd has left the Post Office inquiry after her second day of giving evidence. Ms van den Bogerd, who held numerous positions at the Post Office during her 35-year career, opened her evidence yesterday by saying she is "truly sorry" for the "devastation" caused to wrongly convicted sub-postmasters.
