Thursday, 1 August 2024 The Met Office has updated its yellow weather warning for slow-moving heavy showers and thunderstorms in parts of England and Wales.
The UK has experienced its sunniest spring on record, with four days of the season still to go. Some 630 hours of sunshine were clocked up across the country between March 1 and May 27, according to provisional figures from the Met Office.
