France has denied allegations of interfering in Romania’s presidential elections after Telegram founder Pavel Durov claimed a “Western European government” asked him to block Romanian conservatives ahead of the vote. Durov hinted at France with a baguette emoji and accused French intel chief Nicolas Lerner of personally approaching him. France called the accusations “unfounded” and blamed Moscow for interference in the earlier annulled round.
