Sunday, 10 January 2021 () ecurity forces averted a tragedy by timely detecting and defusing an improvised explosive device (IED) along the Mendhar-Gohlad link road in Jammu late Saturday. Panic gripped residents when they found an abandoned motorbike at Pankha village along the link road, about 3km away from the main town of Mendhar, and informed cops.

An FIR was also registered at Lucknow's Hazratganj Kotwali against Amazon Prime's India and team of 'tandav' for allegedly hurting religious sentiments on Monday.
Border Roads Organisation (BRO) has reconstructed Bailey bridge at Kela Morh in Ramban on Jammu-Srinagar highway in record 60 hours. One of the passways of the bridge was damaged due to landslide which led to the closing of the national highway for more than a week. A trial run was carried out successfully on January 16 and traffic will be able to run on it by evening, according to BRO. Brigadier IK Jaggi, Chief Engineer of BRO, said, "By evening, traffic will resume on it".
