Those on blood thinners can receive vaccine, says ICMR

Fact-sheets of both Covaxin and Covishield will be revised soon so that people on blood thinners like aspirin and clopidogrel can receive the vaccines, while those on anticoagulants may also take the shots with certain precautions, Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) director general Dr Balram Bhargava said on Thursday.

Country's COVID caseload is at 1,47,88,109 with 18,01,316 active cases. 1,38,423 people were discharged in last 24 hours taking total recoveries to 1,28,09,643. With 1,501 new deaths, death toll has mounted to 1,77,150. According to Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 26,65,38,416 samples tested for COVID-19. The COVID vaccination drive is underway across country. So far 12,26,22,590 COVID vaccine jabs have been inoculated.
