46% of Covid patients have liver damage: Study

Covid-19 not only caused respiratory and cardiovascular complications, but also had a significant effect on the liver, a new study by BYL Nair Hospital has uncovered. ​​​​The research, based on one of the largest data sets of Covid patients, found up to 46% of patients had liver abnormalities caused by the virus itself, the overuse of experimental and potentially dangerous drugs early in the pandemic, and critically low oxygen levels.
