In a unprecedented coincidence, the Supreme Court on Friday welcomed two new Judges and held three separate ceremonial benches to bid farewell to three judges who will retire during the court's summer recess, the latter events showing contrasting warmth in the top law officers' wishes - subdued for Justice K M Joseph, a childhood friend of CJI D Y Chandrachud, and usual warmness for Justices Ajay Rastogi and V Ramasubramanian.
