2 months on, arson attack on same train in Kerala

Nearly two months after the arson attack on Alappuzha- Kannur Express (Train No 16307) at Elathur in Kozhikode, a coach of the same train, which was halted at Kannur railway station yard, was allegedly set afire early on Thursday morning. Though there were no casualties, the coach was gutted in the fire. The blaze raised safety concerns as it happened just 100m away from BPCL's fuel depot. Prompt action by fire and rescue department prevented further spread of fire to other coaches and surrounding areas.
