Bengaluru-Ahmedabad flight suffers tail strike while landing

Passengers aboard a Bengaluru-Ahmedabad flight had a scary experience on Thursday as the aircraft suffered a tail strike while landing at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International (SVPI) airport in the city. A tail strike occurs when the tail or empennage of an aircraft hits the ground or any other stationary object during take-off or landing. The incident took place on Thursday afternoon when IndiGo airlines flight 6E-6595 was landing at the city airport.
