K'taka's Dakshina Kannada district records 63 pc deficit in rainfall

The monsoon season has not started well in Karnataka's Dakshina Kannada district. The district saw a 63 per cent shortfall, with just 344mm of rain falling in June, compared to a typical average of 928mm.
