Karnataka's DJ Halli-KG Halli riots case: Govt may scrap cases; appeasement, says BJP

Home minister G Parameshwara has directed prison officials to review cases filed against several people for their alleged involvement in violence in Bengaluru, Shivamogga, Hubballi and elsewhere in the state. The minister was acting on a letter from Congress MLA Tanveer Sait. BJP on Wednesday reacted sharply to the move, calling it “unconstitutional” and “appeasement politics”.
