Cauvery authority orders Karnataka to release water to Tamil Nadu

IndiaTimes Saturday, 12 August 2023
The Cauvery Water Management Authority on Friday ordered the Karnataka government to release water from its reservoirs across Cauvery so that 10,000 cusecs would reach Biligundlu, the inter-state border. Tamil Nadu officials walked out when the deliberation was underway in New Delhi, protesting the "suggestion to reduce the quantum of water being released under pressure from the Karnataka government," said a highly placed source.
