ITO barrage: HC stays suspension of Haryana irrigation dept chief engineer

In an embarrassment to the Haryana government, the Punjab and Haryana high court on Wednesday stayed the state government’s orders through which it had suspended Sandeep Taneja, the chief engineer in irrigation department for the alleged negligence in the operation of gates of the ITO barrage that led to waterlogging and flood-like situation in Delhi.
