Close to 4.46 lakh missing children found since 2015, most reunited with families: Smriti Irani
Since 2015, most of the 446,000 missing children in India have been reunited with their families through the government's Mission Vatsalya, according to Women and Child Development Minister Smriti Irani. In addition, over 2,600 children have been adopted since the amendment of the Juvenile Justice Act in 2021. Irani warned against profiteering from institutionalizing children and emphasized the importance of providing loving homes.
