IndiaTimes Sunday, 24 September 2023
Congress MLA Basavaraj Rayareddi has proposed the appointment of four more deputy chief ministers in Karnataka. Rayareddi believes that having deputy chief ministers from different communities will benefit the party in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. He clarified that the proposal is not aimed at weakening the position of the current deputy chief minister, DK Shivakumar. Rayareddi also expressed confidence that Siddaramaiah will remain as the chief minister for the full term of five years.
