In open letter to people of Punjab, Navjot Singh Sidhu raises concern on state’s deteriorating financial condition

The former Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee president wrote that in the past 20 years, the governments and chief ministers focused on “apna bhala” (own good), fostering a system in which the state’s potential revenue is pocketed by those in power. He said the state relies heavily on borrowing and taxes to sustain.
