Terror-narco link: 53 sites in 6 states raided by NIA, many held

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has detained several suspects as part of a multi-state crackdown on the nexus between terrorists, gangsters, and drug smugglers connected to Canada-based designated terrorist Arsh Dalla and other criminals. Raids were conducted in 53 locations across six states, recovering weapons, ammunition, digital devices, and incriminating material.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) apprehended two suspects - Mussavir Hussain Shazib and Abdul Matheen Taha - in connection with Bengaluru's Rameswaram Cafe blast case on Friday. The two were nabbed near West Bengal's Kolkata. Mussavir Hussain Shazib has been identified as the alleged "mastermind" behind the low-intensity blast that occurred at a prominent eatery in Bengaluru on March 1. Shazib is accused of placing the improvised explosive device (IED) at the cafe. Additionally, Abdul Matheen Taha is implicated as a co-conspirator in the incident.
