Now friends, BJP & JD(S) jointly take on Cong govt

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Janata Dal (Secular) (JD(S)) staged a joint protest over the government's handling of the Cauvery water sharing issue in Karnataka. Leaders from both parties, including former chief ministers and legislators, held placards and shouted slogans in front of the Mahatma Gandhi statue. The BJP accused the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister of neglecting the interests of the state and betraying the people of Karnataka. The JD(S) leader criticized the government for being apathetic and called for a resolution to the dispute with Tamil Nadu. The Home Minister responded by stating that the government is capable of dealing with the issue.
