Mumbai: Man feigns link with min, dupes bizman of Rs 2cr

A gang of five individuals, including one who posed as a state minister's staffer, have been accused of duping a businessman from Dadar out of Rs 2 crore. The gang promised to help the businessman get an FIR against him quashed and obtain a liquor license, but instead took the money without delivering on their promises. The businessman filed a complaint and the police have registered a case against the accused for cheating, forgery, and intimidation. The accused, who have no connection to the state minister or Mantralaya, are currently being sought by the police.
