Five teens out for a swim in Ganga drown in UP's Prayagraj

Five teenagers, aged 15 and 16, drowned in the Ganga river in Prayagraj, India, while two others were rescued. The incident occurred when a group of seven teenagers went for a swim. Local authorities, including the police commissioner, rushed to the scene to carry out a rescue operation. The bodies of the deceased have been recovered and sent for postmortem. This incident adds to the growing number of drowning deaths in the city, despite warnings and increased police presence at the river.
