Murder convict flees from hospital as guards leave post

A 29-year-old jail inmate, convicted of murder and sentenced to capital punishment, escaped from a hospital in Bhopal by unlocking his handcuffs. The inmate, Rajat Saini, was admitted to the hospital due to severe anaemia and vomiting blood. Two jail guards were suspended for negligence in their security duty. A case has been registered against Saini for fleeing from police custody. This incident adds to Saini's history of being admitted to various hospitals for his medical condition, which doctors have been unable to identify.
