Gujarat high court judges bicker in open court, one leaves in a huff

IndiaTimes Tuesday, 24 October 2023
A difference of opinion between two judges at the Gujarat high court during a taxation-related case led to an acrimonious exchange. The senior judge expressed dissatisfaction with the junior judge's tendency to disagree with him. The senior judge retired to his chamber in anger, but the bench reconvened after lunch to continue hearing cases. The incident was described as rare, as differences between judges are usually recorded in a dissenting view.
