At 5.5 km, India’s longest ropeway to link Dehradun & Mussoorie in next three years

A consortium led by FIL Industries has begun work on the Dehradun Mussoorie Ropeway Project (DMRP) in India, which will be the country's longest ropeway at 5.5 km. The ropeway, expected to be completed by September 2026, will connect the cities of Dehradun and Mussoorie, reducing travel time from 1.5 hours to 15 minutes. The project, costing Rs 300 crore, will feature 10-seater diamond cabins capable of carrying 1,300 passengers per hour. It will serve both tourism and urban mobility purposes.
