LS polls: For united INDIA, SP & Congress ready to bury hatchet

IndiaTimes Sunday, 29 October 2023
The Congress and the Samajwadi Party are considering ways to reconcile and present a united front ahead of the Lok Sabha polls. Despite initial disagreements, both parties believe that any differences at the state level should not affect their national alliance. SP chief Akhilesh Yadav is in contact with the central leadership of the Congress, and while any official steps towards reconciliation may not be taken immediately, it is likely to happen in the future. Both parties are focused on forming a strong opposition alliance to challenge the BJP-led NDA in the 2024 elections.
