Siddaramaiah dines at G Parameshwara’s house, DK Shivakumar’s absence sparks speculations

Speculations of infighting within the Congress party in Karnataka were fuelled after Chief Minister Siddaramaiah attended a dinner party at the home minister's residence. The meeting was held to pacify PWD minister Satish Jarkiholi, who has been upset over the increasing interference of deputy chief minister DK Shivakumar in Belagavi politics. Siddaramaiah also held a meeting with Shivakumar to discuss names for appointments to resolve the issue. However, both Siddaramaiah and home minister G Parameshwara denied any political discussion at the dinner meeting.
