17-meter beam falls on car at Delhi-Meerut RRTS site, cop injured

During the early hours of Sunday, a substantial 17-meter-long side beam, part of a construction gantry utilized for track laying in the ongoing Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) corridor project, unexpectedly collapsed, crashing onto a car. Within the vehicle was a 22-year-old Uttar Pradesh police constable, who suffered serious injuries to his shoulder, chest, and face as a result of the incident. An analogous event occurred in July in Meerut. During slab-making operations at Shatabdi Nagar station, four masons were injured, with two of them in critical condition.
